What is it?

About Arraigo por Formación

Arraigo por Formación (Training Roots) is a temporary residence permit granted to foreigners who have lived in Spain for at least two years. This permit allows applicants to pursue training or professional certification courses. After completing the required training, applicants can obtain a work permit by presenting an employment contract.

Requirements

Eligibility for Arraigo por Formación

To qualify for Arraigo por Formación, you must:

  • Be a non-EU, EEA, or Swiss citizen, or not subject to the EU citizen regime.
  • Have no criminal record in Spain or your country of origin in the last five years.
  • Not be banned from entering Spain or listed as inadmissible in countries with agreements with Spain.
  • Continuous residence in Spain for a minimum of two years, with no absences exceeding 90 days.
  • Commit to completing professional or technical training, or courses promoted by Public Employment Services.
